Welsh Kicks A Lot Of Goals, Against the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs should not be troubled by the Crows next season as they now have Scott Welsh on their side. Welsh has been dominating the Bulldogs, and as they couldn't beat him they are lucky that Welsh has now joined them.

The four-time leading goalkicker for Adelaide, snared by the Dogs in the AFL pre-season draft, had a habit of wreaking havoc against the Dogs, booting 20 goals in the past six games.

“I’m at my third club now and I guess you’ve got to take your opportunities as they come and the Bulldogs have presented me with another opportunity and hopefully I can grab that and do something with the club.”
Welsh said he had come to the conclusion that the Crows weren’t going to budge on their offer of a one-year contract “around about a month, month-and-a-half ago” and was delighted when the Dogs came calling with a two-year deal.

Hopefully the coach has learned some lessons from last season so the 2008 one will be better. Maybe it was the fault of the assistant coaches, and most of them have been replaced.
If Welsh is the biggest forward that the Bulldogs put on the field they could be in trouble, if he is the third tallest option then things might be looking up for the Bulldogs next season.
One thing about Welsh, his goals output has been inflated due to the games he was playing against the Bulldogs. But it didn't cost a lot in the preseason draft, and he should be as good or better than other forwards they have brought in like Paul Hudson, Simon Minton-Connell, Kingsley Hunter, James Cook and Daniel Bandy. That is an interesting list, Osborne and even A Jakovich were other forwards they tried too from other clubs.
