The Return Of Riewoldt
This week should be the first of many times this season that the Saints have Nick Riewoldt, Gehrig and Koschitzke together in the forward line. Few teams in the AFL have two great tall defenders, so as they need three to contain the Saints there are many teams who are going to be in trouble.
The Saints play the Bulldogs, one of the shorter teams in the back line. If the Bulldogs have their usual dominance in the centre then they won’t have to worry about the Saints’ forward line, if they play like they did against the Crows then Wight, Harris and the rest of the Bulldogs defenders will be under siege.
Story about Riewoldt and Ball returning, from the Herald Sun: Riewoldt back, Clarke a worry
AFL Fantasy Impact:
N Riewoldt would have been signed by many people when they first assembled their fantasy teams. Before the season started he would have been moved out for another forward. Now that he is back, and has had a long time to recover from his injury, maybe he could be signed for round 3. If Barry Hall is ruled out of playing in round 3 then Riewoldt is at a similar fantasy price to him.
