The AFL Insider SuperCoach Round 9 Team
Cain Ackland only played around half the game last round, but his SuperCoach stats were better than many other more expensive ruckmen, an odd result but helpful for this team. He gets one more week as trades were used in other spots. Roe was sent out, it was very surprising that he was dropped by Brisbane and even though he might still get a game this round this means that his spot isn’t assured, and Gilbee will take his spot in the back which is an upgrade on Roe. Two Cornes are better than one, so Kane joins Chad on the team now.

Pratt, who was traded last week because he missed too much game time due to running into people, was good last round but again spent time on the bench after a physical contest. He was replaced by Jesse Smith so that trade was successful. This week another defender was moved, with Roe traded for Gilbee.
Hasleby missed last week, Gibbs was the emergency who took his spot. The midfield should have a big round this time. Kane Cornes is now in the team, Marc Murphy was sent out. Hasleby will play this round and should do a lot with J Carr out this week. Judd will take on the Hawks, he will get his stats as he always does, and Mitchell and Lewis should be good too.
For SuperCoach fantasy points last round, Ackland was better than Dean Cox, Jeff White, Darren Jolly, Brendan Lade, Robert Campbell, Jamie Charman, Aaron Sandilands, Brad Ottens and Cameron Mooney. That was not expected to happen. Ackland is again going to share the ruck spot with Setanta O'hAilpin, but as long as Ackland kicks a goal and gets some hitouts he should do enough at his fantasy price. This fantasy team has the choice of either of the Crows' ruckmen. Griffin is playing as well as Hudson is, and if Griffin continues to kick goals he could be brought in as the starter. Hopefully Hudson dominates in the ruck to start the quarters, as he is in the fantasy team this round, and then when Ackland comes on for Carlton he does well too.
Chad Cornes had his one down game for the season. Corey Jones was the best forward on the team last round. Lance Franklin again had trouble kicking goals, but at least he was getting kicks and his accuracy should return this week.
