The AFL Insider SuperCoach Round 10 Team

When Jonathan Brown and Jeff White are at bargain prices, the best idea might be to sign them even though that uses up a couple of trades. Trades are getting down in number now but the talent on the team is at a high level.

Gilbee came onto the team last week. He took Roe's spot, although Roe did play last week as a late inclusion after being dropped by Brisbane, he didn't have a big game and was dropped again this week. The Bulldogs were not at their best but Gilbee still got plenty of points. It was just another manic Mundy, although the coach is probably the cause. Maybe they have too much depth among their defenders in Fremantle, as they move them around and rest them on the bench a bit more than other teams. The Essendon - Richmond match provided a big finish, and for this fantasy team it provided two big marking players who patrolled their half back areas. Down one end was Polak who continues to have a big year, McPhee had a better role too and cut off several passes to the Richmond forwards which added up into big fantasy points.

Ricky Petterd's exciting fantasy year had a detour as Coach Daniher sent him to the forward line. He should be back among the embattled Melbourne defenders again this week, and up in fantasy points. If Petterd does for some reason play as a forward then it might be time to get Gibbs into the lineup for next week, things could be turning around for Gibbs now and he might start getting a lot more fantasy points. Kane Cornes was brought onto the team last week and that was a good move. The Hawks had a big win, and Mitchell kicked an important early goal, but for fantasy points he had a down game. Mitchell should be back among the stats leaders this week.

For the past few weeks the choice has been to play Griffin or Hudson in the ruck, Hudson was always the pick and it was very important last week with Griffin hurting his ankle. The choice won't be made now as Griffin is gone, Ackland takes the emergency spot on the bench and Jeff White jumps into the team.

Jonathan Brown did start the season on this team, he is back but at a saving of over $230,000. Alwyn Davey left to make room for Brown. There are plenty of big stars among the forwards so they should be bringing in a huge amount of fantasy points.

A large number of trades have been used to get a good balance of stars at the right price, so the emergencies could play an important part if injuries hit. The midfield is in good shape as both Gibbs and J Selwood get regular games and some useful stats, Selwood will probably be in the VFL this week though but won't spend too long in the VFL. The ruck is always a concern with injuries, Ackland should be a useful player as a fantasy emergency as Carlton would be in trouble if they dropped him, he is their only experienced ruckman with Cloke and McLaren hurt. If Campbell keeps kicking goals then he should keep his spot in the Kangaroos' lineup, he will need to as Shannon Cox has not returned to the Collingwood team after his demotion. The back line emergency could also cause some problems, Ellis is close to getting back into the Hawthorn team and he probably should be in their best 22.
