If any team is "going to do a Geelong", as in missing out on the finals one year and then getting everything right and winning it all the next year, it has to be the Saints.
Like Geelong, they have to get everyone, or nearly everyone, healthy for the whole season. They also have to make sure some of their "short-fused" players are concentrating on the game, and Geelong showed that can happen.
Another thing that Geelong figured out, sometimes it is a good idea to kick long to the big marking forwards. The Saints have some of the biggest and best marking forwards, they need to kick it to them.
Another way the Saints could copy the Cats, if they get to the 2008 Grand Final the Saints could drop Blake and put Steven King into the team.
