Symes Could Be Back For Power
Another loss for Port Adelaide and some injuries could open up a spot for Symes to get back into the team. There are other players in the SANFL who are also close to getting a game for the Power and Crows.
From The Advertiser: Port, Crows - pick me!
AFL Fantasy Impact:
Massie was very good for fantasy teams last season, as he started at a very low price and played a lot. So even if the Crows do bring him in his fantasy worth this time is not as good, as the playing time isn’t there and his price is high due to his numbers last year. If Mattner was going to be suspended then Massie might have been a player that would take his spot, it seems that Mattner will only have a reprimand and will be available to play.
Symes is also too expensive right now to play in AFL fantasy, so when the Power do bring him back he will need to get 20 kicks a game to justify his price. If he has a month of games his fantasy price might go down a bit and he will then be a player to sign.
Thomson is a very affordable fantasy player and if a spot opens up at Port Adelaide for him he could have a very good second half of the season for fantasy teams.
Gray won’t do anything unless Ebert is out of the Port Adelaide side. As Gray was a draft pick his fantasy price is down the bottom, so if he does play his value will steadily increase. But unless some injuries hit the Power forward line it doesn’t look like Gray will get a lot of playing time.
The Crows don’t have a lot of players who can take contested marks in the forward line. Burton can, when healthy, and Bock is another good player but his form as been up and down. The Crows could be without Griffin for a week or two, and they won’t be able to use Tippett who is out for the year, so they could give Gill a run soon. If Gill does play then he is another bargain buy for fantasy coaches to consider.
