Pavlich Still A Purple Person
He could have been kicking 100 goals a season for the Crows, or playing in the midfield for the Power with Chad Cornes, those scenarios won't happen in 2008 as Matthew Pavlich has signed a three year contract extension with the Fremantle Dockers.
It would have been a disaster for the Dockers if Pavlich wanted to leave so this news is a big relief for the club. They have also signed up many of their other players, so even though they have changed their coach they should still have plenty of stability with their list.
From the Fremantle site: Pavlich signs on until 2010
AFL Fantasy Impact:
Pavlich has been one of the star fantasy forwards all season and his new contract won't change anything. Even if he isn't kicking a lot of goals he still gets a large amount of possessions and marks, although lately he has been getting plenty of goals. Fremantle are still chasing a finals spots, and Pavlich is also chasing the Coleman Medal, so he should produce for fantasy points in the remaining three regular season games.
