Melbourne Soccer Club Using Dirty Tricks For Publicity
The Melbourne Soccer Club knew they were not going to get any publicity during AFL Grand Final week, unless they did something outrageous.
In a very disrespectful way, the soccer club is complaining that the AFL does not want to promote them in their AFL Record publication. That should not come as a shock to anyone. I am sure the soccer people do not have advertising for the AFL in their books.
Maybe Channel 10 should complain that Channel 9 doesn't want to advertise The Simpsons, or maybe The Age should be annoyed that The Herald Sun doesn't provide information so people can order The Age.
It would have been funny but according to the soccer people they are serious. For a soccer team that has been around for only one year trying to get cheap publicity like this does not win their sport any fans.
