Judd Not Going To Melbourne
Always plenty of rumours when it comes to AFL trades, and the Melbourne rumours about Judd seem to be wrong.

THE courting of boon recruit Chris Judd by Melbourne-based AFL clubs took another dramatic twist on Monday, with the champion midfielder advising the Demons he would not be joining them in 2008.

They have to be way out in front, for the club that Judd wants to go to. They have a much better team than most of his other options, they have a very experienced coach while the other clubs have untried coaches.
The one thing Collingwood doesn’t have is trade assets. So that will mean the Eagles would prefer that Judd went to Carlton. The Eagles can get picks 3 and 20 from Carlton, and some other players like Kennedy or Bower.
A team like the Bulldogs, or Melbourne or Richmond, could really improve their list if they help Collingwood. But by “help”, it means getting a lot in return for their high draft pick. Ben Reid will be someone that the Bulldogs and Demons would like, and he would definitely be a great prospect for the Bulldogs to put at full forward in 2008.
