Is The AFL Honouring John Klug?

No, of course they are not honouring former Adelaide Crows player John Klug. The "KLUGER" painted on the AFL venues is a Toyota.

John Klug was a member of Adelaide's first AFL team, he played for them in 1991 and 1992. He kicked as many goals as Carey and Ablett did in 1991, 28.

The Kluger sign is always in view at the centre bounces, but with a player or two standing on it, it does advertise something different during the game. While KLUG often appears, there are times when another winter sport is being promoted, luge. When the K has a player standing on it, it becomes a German firearm or a professional wrestler.
