Hartlett and Jack Riewoldt To Make Debuts
Richmond have wasted a third of the season as they left Jack Riewoldt in the Coburg team and he dominated the VFL. He will play his first game against Essendon. It would have been much better for him, and the Tigers, if he was played with Richardson in the forward line but instead his job will be to temporarily replace him.
Carlton need to play all their youth too, and Adam Hartlett is someone who will provide height for them. Carlton say they drafted him due to his results as a forward, but he has been a defender in preseason and VFL games. Against the Crows, who have a variety of tall forwards, Hartlett probably goes to the back line.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
Quite a few people already have J Riewoldt sitting on their fantasy bench. They should at least get a solid price increase over the next 3 weeks, assuming that Riewoldt plays and Richardson doesn’t. Maybe Riewoldt kicks some goals and is considered for a starting spot in fantasy teams, but for his first game it will be a better idea to keep him benched as going up against Fletcher and Michael won’t help his stats.
Hartlett might keep his spot in the Carlton side as they need him in the back line if they continue to play other players who were defenders in different spots. The big Setanta is often in the ruck while Waite started in the forward line again last week. Hartlett is a long kick of the ball and a solid mark so he has the ability to bring in fantasy points.
Both players are inexpensive in fantasy leagues, Riewoldt is a forward and Hartlett is a defender. If they have a couple of good games to start their career then fantasy coaches will want to consider signing them.
