Hall Unavailable For Swans
The reason why the football hits Hall's hands but he can't mark it has been revealed, he has a groin problem. In a round when many players are being rested, suspended and operated on, Hall is just the latest of many outs. The Swans have a trip to Geelong to look forward to, and without Hall they could be in big trouble. Expect Richards, Vogels or Grundy to be given the task at full forward, but don't expect the ball to get up their end a lot at Kardinia Park.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
At least fantasy coaches have some early warning about Hall, as this round could require a lot of planning. One idea, if someone like Davey or Gray is on the fantasy bench, is to follow Sydney’s idea and also give Barry Hall a rest for the round. With the extra break followed by SCG games against Fremantle and Carlton, Hall could still be effective for fantasy points this season. The Swans then go to Perth to play the Eagles but follow that with games against the Tigers, Demons, Saints and Lions. A fantasy team with plenty of trades still to use and without a good player on the bench might want to trade away Hall and that move makes sense too. He has dropped a lot in price so it isn't easy to find a great replacement for him. Bock, who had a big game last round and is even cheaper than Hall, might have been an option but he is also hurt and in doubt for this round, as is McGregor. Croad, Damon White, Tredrea or Ebert could be options at a similar price

“I just want to put an end to the continued speculation regarding Hally and, after speaking with our medical team, it has been decided to give him (Hall) the week off,” Roos said.
“Hopefully with the weeks rest we will see him back next week for the Fremantle game.
