Graham Cornes, Definitely Quote-worthy

The AFL’s Victoria versus the conglomerate of other states game is not getting the full support of Graham Cornes. To say he is more than a little displeased with the concept would be a large understatement. But it still makes for entertaining reading.

From Fox Sports: Cornes blasts all-star match

Cornes said they would be embarrassed with their jumper, which he said would be a "lollipop-netball" style guernsey.

"They are supposed to pull it on with pride. I wouldn't spit on it," he said.

Quite simply Graham Cornes should just go away.

He probably is still smarting over the fact his trophy wife was about the only Labor Party candidate to embarrass themselves in the election.

The man is a football irrelevance.

I just can't wait for the great man J.Brown to lead the Big V out on to the MCG to assert our superiority just one last time.

If he doesn't watch, and it seems he won't be, then he will miss one or two family members competing.

If both teams have their best players, the other states team could be the favourites, especially with their better ruckmen.

Thank you for the comments.

Presuming all players were available and fit,The Big V would have all of the firepower - Brown, Hall and the big Fevolenko, Steve Johnson could slot in nicely in a forward pocket next to Fev. Brad Johnson would find himself on a half forward flank. Chris Tarrant could just sit on the pine ready to come on at any stage.

Couple that firepower with a midfield rotation of Judd, Bartel, Ablett, Brent Harvey, Del Santo, Ling as a stopper and Sam Mitchell as a ball winner.

To top it off Scarlett and Dustin Fletcher would lead a top class backline.

A very hard side to beat
