Free-To-Air TV Needs The Grand Final Marathon

Over the years the Grand Final marathon on the night before the game has decreased in time and is barely there now. While in the past you could watch Grand Final after Grand Final all through the night, this time all they had was an old Sheedy special with a few parts of a few Grand Finals.

I don't think it was a recent tv show either, as Sheedy mentioned that Carlton were lucky to get McKernan to join their team for the upcoming season.

Hopefully one of the tv channels next season will bring it back. From 10:30pm to 8:00am Saturday morning it should be all Grand Finals, replayed in full.

They always show 1970, 1979 and 1989 but there are plenty of other games to watch.

1972 and 1988 had some high-scoring demolitions, might be fun to watch, except for Richmond and Melbourne fans.
While 1979 is famous, or infamous, the two teams also went at it in 1981.
Showing two Grand Finals with the same teams but different results would be good. Hawthorn and Carlton in 1986 and 1987, Hawthorn and Essendon in 1983 and 1984 and Richmond and Carlton in 1972 and 1973.
