Fevola Trade Possibilities
On Monday, Fevola might arrive at Princes Park and the past week will be forgotten about. He could also phone them up and tell them to go suck a lemon, which would then ignite all the trade talk.
A lot of teams will not go near Fevola, others will see him as the final piece for their team. Sydney, Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs are probably the three teams that need him the most.
Here are a bunch of trade ideas, if Carlton can get a first round pick for Fevola then they should be happy with that.
Adelaide
The Crows need a full forward so they should be interested. They need to win now so they could be looking to trade their top pick.
Possible trade: 1st round pick, Luke Jericho and John Meesen for Fevola.
Brisbane
Fevola's addition would certainly stop teams using extra defenders on Brown. The Blues still need a ruckman, so if Charman is moving to Melbourne then something could be worked out.
Possible trade: Jamie Charman for Fevola.
Collingwood
Bryan could have started a tradition of players leaving Carlton for Collingwood, both Fevola and Stevens might be options for the Magpies.
Possible trade: 1st round pick for Fevola and Stevens.
Essendon
While Sheedy won't be saying no, there isn't a spot in the forward line for Fevola at the moment.
Possible trade: Courtney Johns and Kepler Bradley for Fevola.
Fremantle
They have probably learned their lesson after rolling the dice and trading for Collingwood's former forward. It would give them a loaded forward line which would allow Pavlich to go in the middle sometimes. Carlton could really use Warnock but the Dockers are unlikely to trade him.
Possible trade: Ryan Murphy, Ryan Crowley and Adam Campbell for Fevola.
Geelong
They have Hawkins so probably not interested in Fevola, but could play a role in a three team trade if Carlton want a veteran ruckman.
Possible trade: Steven King and Sam Hunt for Fevola.
Hawthorn
After teams build with youth, the final push to the top is often grabbing a star veteran. For Hawthorn, they have the forward line covered and don't want to disrupt their team.
Possible trade: Thomas Murphy and Danny Jacobs for Fevola.
Kangaroos
The Kangaroos have traded for worse players, he actually could help them.
Possible trade: Brad Moran, Matt Riggio and Daniel McConnell for Fevola.
Melbourne
Neitz is close to finished, it might be something they look at. The Demons may try to rid themselves of Sylvia while Brad Miller is someone who needs a new start.
Possible trade: Brad Miller and Colin Sylvia for Fevola.
Port Adelaide
They have The Hoff and he is scoring at as high a rate as Fevola is, the old Tredrea guy isn't done yet too. The Power won't want to trade their first rounder, so there is very little chance of a trade unless several Victorian players want to leave.
Possible trade: Troy Chaplin, Greg Bentley and a 2nd round pick for Fevola and Jordan Russell.
Richmond
It was mentioned before, so there is some chance.
Possible trade: 2nd round pick, Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls and Jay Schulz for Fevola.
St Kilda
Gehrig is a bigger and better, but older, Fevola. Maybe they see Fevola as a replacement for him. A lot will depend on whether Riewoldt signs a new contract, and if he leaves then the Saints will have to explore all their available options.
Possible trade: 1st round pick and Barry Brooks for Fevola.
Sydney
It makes sense in several areas, more importantly the Swans can't score goals at the moment and they need a quick fix.
Possible trade: 1st round pick and Luke Vogels for Fevola.
West Coast
Comparing Fevola to several players there, Fevola is a good citizen. What the Eagles will look at is his goals production and he could fix a problem they have.
Possible trade: 1st round pick and Mitch Brown for Fevola and Paul Bower.
Western Bulldogs
The Bulldogs need to make a big push next year to win it all. Johnson, West, Akermanis, Grant and several other players won't be there much longer. Their forward line is in disarray and they need a big, marking target to kick to. The Bulldogs once drafted Allen Jakovich and they have been looking for a full forward for a long time so they will be trying to get Fevola if he is available.
Possible trade: 1st round pick for Fevola.
