Coleman Medallist Fevola Misses Grand Final Parade
While the AFL Grand Final parade is about the two competing teams, there are also some players who are honoured for their efforts during the year. The AFL Rising Star, the Brownlow Medallist and the Coleman Medallist usually lead out the parade.
Danyle Pearce was there as the Rising Star winner, the Brownlow winner was also there but as Goodes is playing he was with his team. But the Brownlow medallist Brendan Fevola didn't turn up for the parade. He couldn't be bothered attending and said it was embarrassing for him to be there as his team finished last.
Fevola has said he wants to captain Carlton but missing the parade is not a good plan for getting the captaincy. As captain he would be required to attend a lot of events, and the excuse of being embarrassed because his team plays poorly would not work then.
If Carlton haven't already decided on their new captain, this latest misbehaviour from Fevola will surely sway them. Expect Whitnall to captain Carlton now and in a few years it could be Marc Murphy leading them.
