Coach Connolly Shipped Out By Fremantle
Connolly was Fremantle’s greatest ever coach, although the sample size for judging that is a bit small. He did take them to within a few goals of the 2006 AFL Grand Final but with a failure in 2007 he wasn’t going to be back next season.
Now the intrigue starts for who will coach for the remainder of the year, who will be appointed for next season and which players might be looking to leave.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
It will depend on who is the interim coach, as they could go for the finals or they could start getting ready for next season. Their game in Adelaide, if they lose, might set the direction for the rest of the year. It is likely that injured players who are going to be part of the team for next season will be rested soon. Young players like Ibbotson and Collard could see a lot more action. Older players, like McManus and Parker, may be given a final game and then moved along. Fantasy coaches might want to avoid their old players.
