Christmas In July With Saints' Nicks
One big name can be crossed off the shopping list for AFL teams as Nick Riewoldt won't be one of the uncontracted players available in the offseason. Riewoldt, and midfielder Nick Dal Santo, signed new contracts that will keep them with St Kilda until the end of season 2010.
Teams looking for an uncontracted star forward will now need to go after Pavlich. Judd is also a player in the last year of their contract.

Signing big contracts can have a detrimental influence on some players, they suddenly seem to get lazy after the money is guaranteed. That should not happen with Riewoldt and Dal Santo, and as the Saints are still in the race for a finals spot they could even increase their usual fantasy points over the next month. They also have a lot of games under the roof, so when other big fantasy forwards are out in the wind and rain, Riewoldt will be marking the ball in perfect conditions
