AFL Round 22 Teams and Fantasy News

Collingwood v Adelaide

Collingwood

FB: Clement, Wakelin, Lockyer
HB: H.Shaw, O'Brien, Goldsack
C: Clarke, Burns, Buckley
HF: Maxwell, Rocca, Pendlebury
FF: Thomas, Cloke, Rusling
Foll: Richards, O'Bree, Davis

bench: Swan, R.Shaw, Bryan, Medhurst

emergency: Dick, Reid, Licuria

In: R.Shaw
Out: Didak

AFL Fantasy Watch:
The final round of the fantasy season, there are a few players to sign this week who could help a fantasy team win a league. Rusling would definitely by a player to consider.

Adelaide

FB: Johncock, Rutten, Massie
HB: Torney, Stevens, Mattner
C: McLeod, Goodwin, Reilly
HF: Welsh, Burton, Edwards
FF: Porplyzia, Ricciuto, Gill
Foll: Hudson, Shirley, Thompson

bench: Griffin, van Berlo, Knights, Bock

emergency: Doughty, McGregor, Jericho

In: Griffin, Knights
Out: Doughty, Messen

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Knights returns and will have a lot of the ball. Johncock and McLeod are a couple of players to think about signing for fantasy points in the back line.

Richmond v St Kilda

Richmond

FB: Moore, Thursfield, McGuane
HB: Newman, Raines, Bowden
C: Jackson, Foley, Tambling
HF: Pettifer, Richardson, Edwards
FF: Riewoldt, Deledio, Brown
Foll: Pattison, Tuck, Johnson

bench: Hyde, Polak, Tivendale, King

emergency: Schulz, P.Bowden, Howat

In: Hyde
Out: Schulz

AFL Fantasy Watch:
The battle of the Riewoldts, expect both of them to be among the goals. Deledio has put together some big games after returning from his hand injury and he could be a player that helps fantasy teams win.

St Kilda

FB: Gilbert, Maguire, L.Fisher
HB: Gram, S.Fisher, R.Clarke
C: Fiora, Hayes, Montagna
HF: X.Clarke, Riewoldt, Harvey
FF: Milne, Gehrig, Birss
Foll: Koschitzke, Dal Santo, Ball

bench: Blake, Jones, Gwilt, Ferguson

emergency: M.Clarke, Geary, Thompson

In: Jones, Harvey, Gwilt
Out: Attard, M.Clarke, Voss

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Harvey is back and expect a big game. Gwilt produced earlier in the year, but that was when a few more of their defenders were out so don't expect similar numbers here.

West Coast v Essendon

West Coast

FB: B.Jones, Glass, Wirrpanda
HB: Waters, Hunter, Stenglein
C: Selwood, Priddis, Braun
HF: Chick, Staker, Nicoski
FF: LeCras, Lynch, Seaby
Foll: Cox, Cousins, Fletcher

bench: Hurn, C.Jones, R.Jones, Rosa

emergency: Brown, McNamara, Morton

In: Chick, Nicoski, C.Jones
Out: Judd, Hansen, McNamara

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Judd is officially out, which is going to affect a lot of fantasy league Grand Finals. Hansen is out, the Bombers have a very tall back line, this might be the week that Lynch is contained.

Essendon

FB: Slattery, Michael, Ryder
HB: Winderlich, Lucas, McVeigh
C: Stanton, Hird, Fletcher
HF: McPhee, Gumbleton, Lovett-Murray
FF: Neagle, Lloyd, Welsh
Foll: Laycock, Peverill, Monfries

bench: Heffernan, Bolton, Bradley, Lovett

emergency: Hille, Hocking, Houli

In: Bradley, Bolton, Heffernan, Neagle, Fletcher, Peverill
Out: M.Johnson, Dempsey, Reimers, Nash, Hille, Camporeale

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Sheedy's favourites are back for his last game, Bolton and Bradley have the ability to get fantasy points.

Brisbane v Geelong

Brisbane

FB: Drummond, Merrett, Selwood
HB: Adcock, Roe, Begley
C: Notting, Lappin, Stiller
HF: Rischitelli, Brown, Copeland
FF: Hadley, Brennan, Leuenberger
Foll: Wood, Black, Power

bench: Scott, Mills, Johnson, Corrie

emergency: Moody, Sherman, Clark

In: Drummond, Roe, Mills
Out: Patfull, Clark, Sherman

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Brown had a lot of defenders around him last time he played Geelong, he should still get the ball a lot as his teammates will want him to win the Coleman. Roe and Drummond can get a lot of kicks, and either one could be a good addition for a fantasy team this round.

Geelong

FB: Milburn, Scarlett, Harley
HB:, Mackie, Egan, Wojcinski
C: Kelly, Enright, Corey
HF: S.Johnson, Mooney, Selwood
FF: Chapman, N.Ablett, Stokes
Foll: Ottens, G.Ablett, Ling

bench: Hunt, Varcoe, Blake, Byrnes

emergency: D.Johnson, Gardiner, Callan

In: Selwood, Ling
Out: Playfair, D.Johnson

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Selwood's return could help a few fantasy teams. Bartel is still out so Chapman and Enright will do a bit more.

Port Adelaide v Fremantle

Port Adelaide

FB: Wilson, Thurstans, Pettigrew
HB: P.Burgoyne, Chaplin, Surjan
C: Cassisi, S.Burgoyne, Salopek
HF: Motlop, Tredrea, Pearce
FF: Lade, Westhoff, Ebert
Foll: Brogan, C.Cornes, K.Cornes

bench: Boak, Logan, Carlile, Rodan

emergency: Krakouer, Lower, White

In: Carlile
Out: Wakelin

AFL Fantasy Watch:
The Power may have to win, and win with a huge score, to get second spot. It could mean plenty of fantasy points for Ebert, Motlop and The Hoff.

Fremantle

FB: Thornton, McPharlin, Hayden
HB: Mundy, Johnson, Crowley
C: Schammer, Bell, Foster
HF: Cook, Tarrant, Gilmore
FF: Drum, Pavlich, Farmer
Foll: Warnock, McManus, Browne

bench: O'Brien, Duffield, Haddrill, Dunn

emergency: Murphy, Ibbotson, Campbell

In: O'Brien, Duffield, Haddrill, Dunn, Browne, Dunn
Out: J.Carr, Grover, Dodd, Peake, Hasleby, Solomon

AFL Fantasy Watch:
A big chunk of their team is missing, so the fantasy stats could be up for the players who are still there.

Sydney v Hawthorn

Sydney

FB: Richards, Barry, Malceski
HB: Bevan, C.Bolton, Mathews
C: Ablett, Kirk, McVeigh
HF: R.O'Keefe, O'Loughlin, J.Bolton
FF: Schneider, Hall, Davis
Foll: Jolly, Fosdike, Goodes

bench from: Everitt, Barlow, Crouch, Dempster, Grundy, Roberts-Thomson, Schmidt

In: Barry, Dempster, Grundy, Roberts-Thomson, Schmidt
Out: Buchanan, Brennan

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Hall is named, there was talk that he would be rested, and O'Loughlin is also there despite the bump he took last week. Everitt is also in a bit of doubt.

Hawthorn

FB: Brown, Croad, Birchall
HB: Guerra, Gilham, Ladson
C: Bateman, Lewis, Smith
HF: Young, Franklin, Crawford
FF: Hodge, Roughead, Boyle
Foll: Campbell, Sewell, Mitchell

bench from: Ellis, McGlynn, Taylor, Dixon, Murphy, Tuck, Vandenberg

AFL Fantasy Watch:
The Hawks won't have an easy game this time, so a lot of players will have fewer stats than they did last week.

Western Bulldogs v Kangaroos

Western Bulldogs

FB: Gilbee, Harris, Morris
HB: Power, Williams, Hargrave
C: Cross, West, Eagleton
HF: Giansiracusa, Johnson, Murphy
FF: Grant, McDougall, Robbins
Foll: Darcy, Cooney, Boyd

bench from: Ray, Skipper, Tiller, Wight, Faulkner, Harbrow, McMahon

In: Faulkner, Grant, Harbrow, McMahon, Robbins
Out: Akermanis, Everitt

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Everitt was a very useful addition to fantasy teams, he will miss the last game. Power and Murphy might be players to sign this week.

Kangaroos

FB: Watt, Gibson, Archer
HB: Smith, Pratt, Firrito
C: Green, Harris, Sansbury
HF: Wells, Edwards, Harvey
FF: Jones, Petrie, Grant
Foll: McIntosh, Rawlings, Simpson

bench: Lower, Hansen, McMahon, Hale, Swallow, Brown, Sinclair

In: Smith, Gibson, Hansen

AFL Fantasy Watch:
The Bulldogs allowed the Hawks to get a lot of stats last week, so the Kangaroos might provide a big bonus for fantasy teams. McIntosh should be too big and too good in the ruck, obviously big Petrie can demolish the Bulldogs too.

Melbourne v Carlton

Melbourne

FB: Carroll, Ferguson, Brown
HB: Bizzell, Miller, Bruce
C: Green, McDonald, Johnstone
HF: Pickett, Robertson, Dunn
FF: Bate, Newton, Bode
Foll: White, McLean, Jones

bench from: C.Johnson, P.Johnson, Jamar, Buckley, Garland, Ward, Wheatley

In: McDonald, Bate, Bizzell, Wheatley, Garland
Out: Neitz, Sylvia

AFL Fantasy Watch:
Players fighting to prolong their careers, either at Melbourne or another club, might bring in some more stats. Miller, Dunn, Jamar, both Johnsons and even Pickett are some of the players who need a big game here. Bizzell returns to say goodbye, both he and Brown can help fantasy teams.

Carlton

FB: Jamison, O'hAilpin, Bower
HB: Scotland, Austin, Walker
C: Murphy, Bentick, Jackson
HF: Simpson, Kennedy, Waite
FF: Carrazzo, Whitnall, Hampson
Foll: Ackland, Houlihan, Gibbs

bench from: Russell, Blackwell, Grigg, Bannister, Betts, Saddington, Wiggins

In: Austin, Blackwell, Houlihan, Wiggins
Out: Fisher

AFL Fantasy Watch:
This could be the week that Mr Kennedy stars, especially if Whitnall also misses with injury. Scotland did have an injury so fantasy teams will want to have an emergency midfielder ready. The “M1 Abrams Match” will provide some unexpected stats, so a fantasy team might get a win this week by adding someone like Jackson, Jamison or Wiggins.
