AFL Mock Draft 2007 - Pick 36, Carlton
36. Carlton - Luke Sampey
Tall Forward. 191cm, 91kg. East Perth
Possible comparison: A reliable leading forward who wouldn't be the primary option for a team, like Tim Boyle is at Hawthorn.
Why: They need forwards who can kick goals, as they don't have Kennedy and Whitnall now. Sampey could be a secondary marking option close to goals.
Worth a reach: Joel Smouha, if Carlton are going to have Waite in the forward line they will need to find a few more taller players for the back half.
Hope they slide: Scott Simpson, he might be able to provide some of the marking that they need around centre half forward.
Selected at pick 36 in the 2006 AFL draft:
Alwyn Davey (Essendon, small forward)
