AFL Fantasy Player Notes - Waite To The Carlton Back Line
Carlton tried to win by outscoring people last year, often playing all their quality talls in the forward line, but it was not a successful tactic. Jarrad Waite has said he will be playing in the back line in 2008, which should solidify the defensive structure at Carlton and also allow provide Waite with a role that will help him bring in more fantasy stats.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
His numbers are consistently higher when he is settled in as their centre half back, Bock at Adelaide and Polak at Richmond are similar fantasy players to Waite as they can help when played as a forward but their effectiveness for fantasy teams is probably at it's best when they are defenders for their AFL clubs.

“The way Ratts is speaking, I think I’ll be starting down back at the start of the year and see how I go down there,” Waite said.
“I hope to play centre half-back. I wouldn’t mind making that position mine this year. I sort of got moved around a fair bit last year, so I wouldn’t mind making it mine.
