AFL Fantasy Player Notes – Lonergan On Again For Geelong
It seems that the Cats are going to choose between a couple of Tommy guns to replace Nathan Ablett up forward. Although with Egan out of the team as well for at least a few rounds, there might be room for both Lonergan and Hawkins in the Geelong side.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
The VFL Grand Final would not have affected Lonergan’s fantasy price but it would have got the attention of plenty of fantasy coaches. Lonergan showed in that game that he can kick a bunch of goals. But it could be the back line where Lonergan has a real chance for playing in round 1, and he would be a more likely addition to the team at centre half back than someone untried like Harry Taylor.

Hawkins and Lonergan spent three quarters of the scratch match at full-forward on opposing teams before Lonergan was switched on to Hawkins’ side in the final term.
Ten Cats sat out Saturday’s match: Matthew Egan (foot), Matthew Scarlett (knee), Darren Milburn (family commitments), Paul Chapman (groin), Joel Selwood (general soreness) Travis Varcoe (tonsils), Simon Hogan (stress reaction in his foot), Brodie Moles (rookie being rested) and Shane Mumford (rested rookie).
