AFL Fantasy Player Notes - Harry Taylor An Option For Cats With Egan Out

The Cats drafted several key position prospects, and if Egan is not ready to go when the season starts it could be up to one of the Cats' young players to man a key defensive position. Harry Taylor could be joining Tom Harley in the Geelong back line for round 1.

Egan, who missed last year’s premiership after breaking his foot in round 22, will now undergo bone graft surgery.

“We’ll have to make do with what we’ve got and someone like Harry Taylor, who has come to the club as a mature age recruit, might get an opportunity.”

AFL Fantasy Impact:

Harry Taylor does have a few things that will get him noticed by fantasy coaches. He joins a team that has a vacancy up forward, with N Ablett going away for a while, and a significant hole in the back line for a few early rounds with Egan still hurt. Taylor is also older than many of the players who were just drafted, and is physically ready to play. Taylor's totals for marks and kicks last season in the WAFL were also good numbers for a taller player.
