AFL Fantasy Player Notes - Cale Morton Ready To Star
The Eagles decided the Morton family wasn't needed, trading Mitch and deciding not to draft Cale. It seems that Cale Morton could have a big first year of AFL with Melbourne if they continue to play him where they did in their intra-club match.

AFL Fantasy Impact:
Cale Morton will be on many benches as a fantasy defender. That will probably be a wise investment, with the potential for plenty of stats and a large and rapid price rise.
Meesen gets another mention and he must be on his way to a spot in their round 1 team. He would not be a bad choice as a 4th ruckman on a fantasy roster. He could be one injury or suspension away from playing big minutes if White or one of their tall forwards miss some games during the season.

Morton, the Demons' first round selection in last year's AFL National Draft, collected plenty of possessions on the wing and across half-back, while Valenti won his share of clearances in the middle and used the ball with precision.
