AFL Fantasy News: Sydney Are Goodes, Geelong Are Good and Melbourne Are Unlucky

Sydney are playing like they did in 2005 and 2006, and a big part of this revival is the play of Goodes. He was good last week in a stopping type of role and he was great in this game as he was too big and too quick for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs also had no answer to Jolly and Everitt, they dominated in the ruck and also kicked goals.

Swans 100 - Bulldogs 57

Fantasy Player News

Sydney
Schneider: 3 goals and 24 possessions, a big game with Nick Davis out.
Malceski: The Swans, and fantasy teams, have another star midfielder. He had 17 kicks, 7 marks and a goal.

O'Loughlin: He was playing better in Sydney than on the road, and Canberra also suits him as he kicked 4 goals.
Goodes: 26 possessions and 10 marks, Goodes has turned his season around.
Fosdike: 21 kicks, 9 marks and 3 tackles.

Western Bulldogs
Johnson: He always gets stats, he had 2 goals, 9 marks and 18 disposals.
Robbins: Fantasy teams wouldn't have played him, he was a late addition to the lineup and kicked 3 goals.
Eagleton: 15 kicks and received 2 free kicks.
Cross: A bit under his usual numbers, with 18 possessions and 5 tackles, he should have a big game next week.
West: Was contained but still put in the effort, his 7 tackles provided some fantasy points along with his 12 handballs.

Melbourne has been here before, around three times in the past month they have had a game slip from their grasp. This one was hard to swallow for Melbourne fans as Swallow kicked the winner in the final minutes.

Kangaroos 79 - Demons 78

Fantasy Player News

Kangaroos
Thomas: 9 kicks and 7 tackles, 4 scoring shots but only 1 goal.
Grant: 5 goals from his 12 kicks.

Swallow: A big part of the team now, he not only kicked the winner but also had 21 disposals and 6 tackles.
Harris: 9 kicks, 9 handballs and 9 tackles.
McIntosh: Had extra fantasy points as he received 4 free kicks but did not give any away.

Melbourne
Bruce: Another amazing game, 35 disposals and 2 goals.
Neitz: He's a bit cheaper now in fantasy leagues, he had 4 goals and 10 marks.
Robertson: Only 5 kicks but he did have 3 goals.
Brown: A fantasy points specialist, he had 28 possessions.
McLean: He was great with 22 possessions and 9 tackles.

Geelong keep rolling along, but it is only May. Geelong had the game won in the first half. It was S Burgoyne who was getting the attention from other teams in previous games, the Cats instead put the pressure on P Burgoyne and slowed him down which was a good tactic.

Corey: Worth his fantasy price, he had 29 disposals.
