AFL Fantasy News: Rodan Is For Real, Dale Thomas Can't Be Stopped And Jacobs Goes 20-20
The game at the MCG between the Magpies and Collingwood had everything. A big comeback, a close finish and now nobody will mention Chad Cornes hitting the post in preseason as Shannon Grant, possibly the Kangaroos' most accurate kick, hit the post with a much easier shot.

Collingwood
Clement: He patrolled the back line and had a huge game for fantasy points.
Thomas: He was everywhere and his stats went up because of it.
Medhurst: They put his name on the banner, for his 100th career AFL game, and he was very productive.
H Shaw: Got the most disposals for Collingwood, gave away the most free kicks too which affects fantasy points.
Pendlebury: A player to add to fantasy teams, he had a lot of the ball.
Kangaroos
McIntosh: The Kangaroos didn't play Moran, so McIntosh had a big game. If they don't name Moran on Thursday then consider McIntosh for a fantasy ruck spot.
Thomas: If some of his 5 points were goals he would have had a huge fantasy return for his first AFL game.
Simpson: The rest he had at the end of 2006 worked as he was everywhere in this game.
Harvey: With possessions and goals he had a big game for fantasy points.
The Power produced a huge third quarter to run over the Fremantle Dockers. Pavlich kicked five goals but it wasn't enough as Ebert, Rodan, Motlop, White and Lade gave the Power more options to score. Pavlich was reported, probably doesn't get suspended.

Rodan: He did it, he continued his preseason form and had 3 goals and a lot of possessions. Possibly the best value of any fantasy player. Not too late to sign him for your team.
Ebert: The Power needed someone to be a target with Tredrea out and Ebert had a good game, kicked 3 goals and had 6 marks and 4 tackles.
Wilson: 20 possessions was a good sign, might be low in price in fantasy leagues.
Motlop: Kicked 3 goals, which kept the Power in the game early on, but then hurt a foot.
White: A good game with 8 marks, but will lose some numbers when Tredrea returns.
Fremantle
Solomon: Unexpectedly good for fantasy points, a couple of goals as well as 6 tackles.
Pavlich: His usual great game, but his fantasy status could be changed at the tribunal.
Grover: With Johnson out Grover played better, might be a good fantasy option until Johnson returns.
J Carr: A game-high 7 tackles, also had over 20 possessions and kicked a goal.
McPharlin: Had a big game for stats, with 18 possessions.
The Hawks may have had a strategy where they would stop Brown at all costs, they did accomplish that but were not able to contain any of the other Lions.

Croad: Had a big game despite playing as a defender.
Ellis: 13 disposals in his first AFL game, keep on a fantasy bench for now but it was a solid start for Ellis.
The Eagles defeated the Swans in a close game. That has happened before, but this time a lot of the names were changed. Mitch Brown, the Eagles' first round pick, was very good in his first AFL game. Peter Everitt was a solid contributor for the Swans, but like some of his new teammates he did miss some chances in front of goal.
