AFL Fantasy News: Mitchell Leads Hawthorn To Another Win
Port Adelaide had everything under control in the first quarter, it looked like they were going to be too big up forward and they were winning the midfield battle. Mitchell started winning the ball, Lance Franklin kicked some goals and the Power was switched off. Westhoff of the Power may have gotten an unlikely double, kicking a goal with his first ever kick and also being reported in his first AFL game.

Hawthorn
Mitchell: That's another game over 30 possessions, he had 35 and also added 8 marks and 3 free kicks for.
McGlynn: A bonus for fantasy points with 3 goals, also had 16 kicks and 9 marks.
Franklin: He kicked 3 goals, also had 10 kicks and 8 marks.
Boyle: 5 goals, a big game and a big season so far for someone who started at such a low fantasy price.
Ellis: Croad and Ladson missed so he played, he had 9 possessions and 4 marks.
Port Adelaide
Pearce: Not at his best yet but getting there, he had 20 possessions.
Ebert: 9 marks and 12 kicks.
S Burgoyne: Out of a small slump with 21 disposals, 4 free kicks for and a goal.
Westhoff: 3 goals isn't a bad start to a career.
Gray: Was productive and elusive, his spin on the wing was a highlight, he had 13 possessions in his first game.
It was a shootout but it wasn't about speed, it was who had the most accurate forwards and Carlton kicked a couple more goals while the Bulldogs kicked a couple more points. The expected ruck dominance didn't eventuate, as Ackland and O'hAilpin held their own against the more experienced Street and Darcy. O'hAilpin possibly should just be played as a tall running midfielder, with another ruckman out there to contest hitouts, and his run and goal was one of the highlights of the match.

West: 14 kicks and 17 handballs.

That's another win for Geelong, the Saints kept it close in the first half but Geelong piled on the goals in the second. Wojcinski was too fast, Ling stopped Dal Santo, G Ablett was too skilful and Chapman also provided his usual hardness as he returned after missing several weeks.
