AFL Fantasy News: Lions’ Winning Streak Stopped By Hawthorn
The three teams with a draw, and that are fighting for a finals spot, all lost on Saturday. So it wasn't as bad a day as it might have been for the Lions. Right now they are still in the 8, but that could change with games still to be played. The Hawks had numerous tall forwards doing damage, and that allowed them to overcome what Brown was doing for Brisbane down the other end. Hawthorn are currently in second spot, other results can alter their position on the ladder too.

Hawthorn
Bateman: He is another one of their midfielders that can get a lot of fantasy points, he had 24 possessions.
Roughead: Good fantasy forwards, at an affordable price, are not easy to find but Roughead could be an option after another 3 goals, he also had 10 kicks and 7 marks.
Croad: A big task, containing J Brown, but he still managed some fantasy points with 12 possessions and a useful 3 free kicks received.
Guerra: A loose player in the back line is usually a good provider of fantasy points, Guerra had 19 kicks and 12 marks.
Young: 18 kicks and 10 marks, his fantasy points production this season has been above expectations.
Brisbane
Brown: The Lions may have seen their streak end but Brown is still going strong, he had 6 goals and 9 marks.
Power: 34 possessions, 6 marks, 4 tackles, 3 frees for and 2 goals.
Charman: One of the better fantasy ruckmen over the past month, he had 14 possessions, 6 marks and kicked a goal.
Adcock: 25 possessions and 11 tackles, a fantasy defender who often plays as a midfielder is very valuable to fantasy teams.
Hooper: 19 possessions and a goal, he would have been very useful for fantasy teams in recent weeks.
In the third quarter, Richmond fans had something else to cheer about, Carlton hit the lead. The Blues kicked 8 goals for the quarter and the priority pick was about to disappear, and it wasn't helping the Power's top 4 chances either. Port Adelaide quickly got the lead back when the last term started and they hung on for the win.

The Bulldogs could have let their finals chances slip away, it is possible for them to win all their remaining games and they might need to do that to play in the finals. Brad Johnson was out, Higgins tried to step up his game but few other forwards were able to for the Bulldogs. It was a different Melbourne side than has been appearing in previous matches, they marked strongly and attacked the ball at ground level too. The Demons have now moved up a spot on the ladder.
