The Bombers went into the game without Lloyd but in the early parts of the game it looked like they didn't need him. In the 2nd quarter Lance Franklin turned the game around with 5 goals.

Watson: A late inclusion, he again got a lot of the ball.
Another game with the Eagles getting twice as many free kicks as their opponent, something Kane Johnson will be able to talk quietly with Brad Johnson about. The Bulldogs didn't have a tall forward to trouble the Eagles and that is something the Bulldogs need to find.

Harris: Much bigger numbers than expected, 12 marks for the game.
Cross: His usual 24 handballs, and 6tackles brought in added fantasy points.
Boyd: 22 possessions, he did receive 3 free kicks but also gave 3 away.
That is three in a row for the Kangaroos. It got close in the final quarter but the Kangaroos held on. The Kangaroos got goals from their smalls with Grant and Campbell among their main scorers.

Jack: Some potential, he had 11 second half possessions.
The Magpies arrived without Didak and departed with a win over the Crows. The Crows' tactics of slowing the game down might have been figured out over the past couple of weeks and they might need to adjust things, they need to kick more goals. Chris Bryan with 3 goals helped Collingwood win as they had 30 scoring shots to 17.
