AFL Fantasy News: Jonathan Brown 61, Carlton 46

That's three in a Roe for Brisbane. Jason Roe actually did play a good game but the big news was Brown, he kicked 10 goals and it wasn't like the umpires were helping him as he had 0 free kicks. Brown was in the proverbial zone, and 60m was not out of his range on Sunday.

Fantasy Player News

Brisbane
Brown: Should have been a fantasy captain, as players do get a lot of stats against Carlton, he was huge for fantasy points with 10 goals from 15 kicks, he also had 14 marks.

Hooper: The smallest guy on the ground nearly had as many goals as the other team, he had 4 goals from 11 kicks.
Lappin: There is good Lappin and bad Lappin, Brisbane have the good and he had 31 possessions.
Roe: Back among the fantasy points with 19 possessions, 4 tackles and 3 frees for.
Drummond: A slow day, maybe the ball didn't get down his end a lot, he has been a huge fantasy star but only had 12 disposals.

Carlton
Bentick: His playing time and stats have been inconsistent, but he did a lot here with 25 possessions.
Kennedy: 15 possessions and 7 marks, he could have a few big games to end the year.
Blackwell: Good potential for fantasy points, he should remain in the side after 23 possessions and 5 tackles.
Bower: Gets a bit lost defensively but he might get fantasy points if played up the ground, he had 7 kicks, 7 handballs and 7 marks.
Walker: 23 possessions and 7 marks, he will be a dependable player for fantasy stats to finish the season.

Richmond played very well, for the first quarter. Then the Port Adelaide machine overpowered them. The Tigers finally gave Riewoldt a chance, and he was one of their better players. The Power look like they will be back on the MCG in September, and with a couple of Cornes and a couple of Burgoynes they will be hard to stop.

Fantasy Player News

Port Adelaide
Ebert: 6 goals and 8 marks, he has been a useful fantasy forward all season.
K Cornes: Both Cornes went over 30 possessions, Kane with 36 had 3 more than Chad.
S Burgoyne: While P Burgoyne had 26 kicks around half back, S Burgoyne kicked 4 goals from his 14 kicks.
Motlop: He had 10 kicks, and 0 handballs, but half his kicks went through for goals.
Rodan: He was booed a bit, he had 17 disposals and received 4 frees so the many fantasy coaches that have him were applauding.

Richmond
Riewoldt: Their youth could provide some useful fantasy players in the remaining rounds, Riewoldt might help fantasy teams and he had 3 goals in this game.
Edwards: 18 possessions and 2 goals, he should end the season with a lot more big games.
Thursfield: 10 possessions and 3 free kicks received, solid numbers for an inexpensive fantasy defender.
Hyde: 17 possessions and 3 tackles.
J Bowden: 32 possessions, king if the fantasy defenders again.

The Kangaroos were on a mission, the Demons were not, and the game was never going to be close. With 28 possessions and 3 goals, Brent Harvey will have added more Brownlow votes to his expected high total.

Fantasy Player News

Kangaroos
McMahon: 3 goals, he seems to produce every game.
Whyman: 2 goals in his first game, but a lot of competition for his spot in the team.
Jones: 4 goals and 10 marks, a player who quietly accumulates a lot of fantasy points.
Petrie: 3 goals, also had 9 marks and 16 kicks, so those who invested in him a few weeks ago got another good game.
Sinclair: 18 kicks, 10 handballs, 12 marks and 6 tackles.

Melbourne
McDonald: The only Demon to get 20 or more possessions, he had 21 along with 5 tackles and 5 marks.
Newton: Fantasy coaches might want to have a look at Newton, he had 2 goals and 10 kicks.
Buckley: The best Buckley this season, at least for fantasy points, he had 15 possessions and a goal.
Frawley: Not getting fantasy points with some tough defensive tasks, he had 4 disposals and 4 tackles.
Jones: 11 tackles as he tried all game, also had 17 possessions and a goal.
