A Ruse To Get Roos Won't Work
It makes a lot of sense to look to Sydney for a quick fix for a football team. Teams like the Kangaroos and Carlton successfully loaded up with talent from them in previous decades. But they won't be able to get their head coach.
From The Australian: Sydney or bush, not Melbourne for Roos
Carlton won in 1987 and a big part of that game was a centre half back they lured from Sydney. When they won in 1995, they had a good game from a former Sydney centreman. They should be applauded for, possibly, going after the coach there now. Roos says he isn't interested in coaching another AFL team.

"I couldn't see myself coaching in Melbourne or anywhere else," Roos said.
"This is where I enjoy living. I enjoy working for this footy club. I love being up here. It is a great city and I would never coach anywhere else."
"I would coach the Maui Falcons if they get a team or the Lake Tahoe snowboarders or something like that," Roos said.
