A Possible 2008 Dream Team AFL Fantasy Side - Forwards

F Nick Reiwoldt
F Ryan O'Keefe
F Jonathan Brown
F Robert Murphy
F Gary Ablett
F Quinten Lynch
F Sean Rusling

Riewoldt and Brown will cost a lot and do a lot. Last season it wasn't the best idea to have these players in round 1 fantasy teams, as Riewoldt was injured and Brown had a very high fantasy price, but this time around they are ready to play and worth their price.

If Ablett and Murphy are eligible as forwards it will increase their worth to fantasy teams. G Ablett is one of the biggest fantasy stars while Murphy can bring in plenty of stats wherever the Bulldogs play him. If one of them is not eligible to play as a fantasy forward, then Deledio might be someone else to put in that spot, as long as Deledio is a forward in fantasy.

R O'Keefe might have to increase his already high work-rate if Hall and O'Loughlin decline in their fantasy numbers. Big Q is still one of the only ways for the Eagles to score goals, so they should continue kicking it to him and he will be consistent for fantasy points. In most games, Lynch brings in fantasy points with his goals, but there were times last season when he ran all over the ground for marks and kicks.

Rusling is the missing piece for the Collingwood forward line, if he is finally healthy it could mean plenty of marks, kicks and goals.

do you think N Brown is going to be worth signing this year? he may still be good value given only limited games

Do u think Mark Williams is worth signing on this year aswell. I beleive he could fire up again like he did in 05, 06 and in his 4 games last season. What are your thoughts?

If that is Nathan G Brown, of Richmond, his price may be a bit high. He could be worth the high price, but if Fevola, Deledio, Mooney and other forwards are quite a bit cheaper than Brown then maybe there are better options than the Richmond small forward.

Although one possible idea with Brown, if Deledio is playing forward a lot it could mean Brown has some runs through the middle as well as playing close to goal, and that would help Brown bring in some extra possesisons. When the fantasy games start, and the prices for the season are official, it will give a better idea for which players are the ones to sign. But right now, on the unofficial prices Brown could be just a bit expensive.

Nathan J Brown, of Collingwood, might be someone to put on a bench. He will be very cheap and might find his way into the Collingwood side if they need height in the back line.

60 goals in 2006 is something to think about when considering Williams for fantasy teams, especially as it looks like he will be at a very affordable price. Williams could be down the price list, around where Boyle and Roughead are, so he could be a good signing at his expected price.

While Hawthorn do have a lot more forward options, they also have a better midfield than in 2006 who will get the ball down to their forwards a lot more now. So even with Franklin, Roughead and Boyle getting their hands on the ball there should be enough left for Williams to get a good amount of fantasy points. Dixon is gone, he was their second best for goals in 2006, so that also helps Williams. That is a good idea, picking Williams has a lot of possible benefits and few risks.
