A Big Week And Many Changes For The Bulldogs
Werribee dominated this weekend with a team that was strong and tall. Minson, McDougall, Everitt, Williams, Skipper and Pask all had big games against the Scorpions. Pask is a rookie listed player, but the other players could be a chance to play for the Western Bulldogs next week.
Coach Eade is ready to change his team and height is again where he must look. McDougall kicked 6 goals while Minson showed he can cause defenders problems as he kicked 3 goals.
The Bulldogs are going to have a big game against the Lions, it is a must-win for both teams as the Lions need a win to halt their slide while the Bulldogs have to beat teams like Brisbane if they want to get a top 4 spot. There is a lot more at stake than just the Akermanis versus Brisbane battle.
From The Age: Selection axe poised at Western Bulldogs
AFL Fantasy Impact:
The Bulldogs did allow Carlton to kick 21 goals so it wouldn't hurt to bolster the back line. Everitt or Williams could give the Bulldogs more height while both players are more than capable of running in the Bulldogs' style of play. Williams did play one game earlier in the year, he didn't excel in fantasy points in his first game. Everitt and Williams are both cheap fantasy players.
McDougall was good in the preseason games but he didn't do anything in the regular season and was dropped after a couple of games. He has the potential to be a solid forward and if they did keep him at full forward he would probably kick a few goals. His fantasy price is low so a couple of contested marks and a couple of goals and he would be worth his price.
There might be a few weeks before this happens but Chris Grant is another taller player that the Bulldogs will have soon. His fantasy price is too high to be a wise investment.
